Chief Commercial Officer
Corey Schmid, MBA, is Graphite's Chief Commercial Officer. Beyond her role guiding the future of digital health care at Graphite, she is also a Fund Advisor to Seven Peaks Ventures, where she led their digital health portfolio for the past 8.5 years. Portfolio companies include Cricket Health, Bright.md, Carta Healthcare, and Enlitic. In her quest to improve the delivery of health care for all, Corey is currently serving as a board member at St. Charles Health System and chair of the Transformation and Innovation Committee. Corey works closely advising digital health entrepreneurs and senior executives across the country to connect the dots between the old and new ways of delivering health care. In between mountain bike races and strategic white board sessions, Corey speaks regularly at industry events and has been an active board member of six digital health startups over the past decade.
Before joining Seven Peaks, Corey spent more than eight years as Managing Business Director for several product and medical device divisions at Philips/Respironics. where she led operations from around the world. She scaled up small acquisitions for the corporation and oversaw product-line divestiture, business growth strategy, and new market penetration.
Corey began her educational journey at Boston College, where she earned a BA in Human Development/Psychology. Never one to shy away from a challenge, she earned her MBA at Portland State University while working at Philips/Respironics and becoming a parent.
When she’s not building bridges to innovation between entrepreneurs and health providers, you can find Corey trekking the trails of the Pacific Northwest with her two sons and husband, or tending to her growing garden. Corey hopes to one day make the perfect homemade heirloom tomato sauce and enjoys each delicious attempt.
