Adam Carroll, PhD, is VP of Operations at Graphite Health, bringing extensive experience as an entrepreneur, scientist, and technologist focused on transforming healthcare through innovative data solutions. Prior to joining Graphite, Adam founded and served as Chief Science Officer at Amplion Inc., where he pioneered systems to organize biomedical information into actionable insights.

His diverse background includes directing an interdisciplinary team at Bend Research (now Lonza) that developed algorithms for Nike Digital Sport products, including the groundbreaking Nike FuelBand. As an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, he founded and managed the UCSF Center for Advanced Technology, publishing his research in prestigious journals including Nature.

Adam's expertise spans healthcare informatics, natural language processing, machine learning, and biomedical R&D. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from UCSF and a BA in Chemistry from Williams College.

When not working on healthcare innovation, Adam can be found exploring the trails around his home in Bend, Oregon, where he lives with his family.
